We run two different types of trips on the Doghouse. We run half day, inshore trips, and we run full day offshore trips. The inshore, half day trips are 4 hours long, and are run either in the channel, or very close to the beach, in the ocean. This has become a very popular trip. The species caught on these trips are Bluefish, Spanish Mackeral, Flounder, and various small bottomfish. Cobia and Red Drum are caught during the spring and fall. These trips work very well for families, and many of our wedding groups. We get on the fish quickly, and we are always within sight of land. The most popular time slot for this trip is our 3 p.m. until dark trip. This is a very relaxing time to be fishing due to the decreasing amount of boat traffic, and the fish generally bite very well just ahead of dark. On this particular trip our mate cleans your fish for you on the way in. Once you disembark, you are free to go, and many of our customers take advantage of Fishermans Wharf Restaurant which is right there in the harbor. The restaurant is situated above a seafood dock, and commands spectacular views of the water. There is a touch tank outside, and we will call ahead and have a table saved for you, so you dont have to wait. In high demand times, we run a 6:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. half day, and also a 11:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. inshore trip. Call ahead to check on availability of these two time slots. The evening is always offered, due to its popularity.
